My Mission Statement:
To deliver to the taxpayer the most efficient office possible. I will use technology not only to increase efficiency but to promote an environmentally-sound work environment. With the proper use of available technology, we can lower personnel costs and lower the use of paper and other resources while enhancing the services we provide to taxpayers. Further, we will enhance customer service to be sure that you, the taxpayer, receive the information you need in the best way possible.
My Plan:
Tax Receipt and Distribution:
- Employ the most up-to-date online systems for receiving payments from individual taxpayers and mortgage companies
- Use technology to allow email receipts of payment
- Work with municipalities to initiate online payments systems
- Audit participating municipalities’ interactions with the Treasurer’s Office to insure maximum efficiency
Hunting Tags
- Refine the immediate process as quickly as possible to avoid long lines
- Work with the Pennsylvania Game Commission to streamline the process to allow online registration and purchase of doe tags
- Work with other State Treasurers to insure a system that provides maximum customer service to hunters
Dog Licenses
- Implement technology that allows new dog owners to purchase licenses online
- Use technology to remind owners to renew permits
- Use technology that allows dog owners to receive email receipts of payment
Customer Service
- Implement voice mail systems that are responsive to taxpayers’ needs.
- Eliminate busy signals!
- Update website content to anticipate frequently-asked questions and to provide calendar reminders and other pertinent information
- Supervise personnel to insure that face-to-face contact with taxpayers is efficient, friendly, and timely
- Ensure that all office personnel understand taxpayer issues and can provide strong customer service
